Guiding Principles for Use of Technology with Early Learners

Technology can be a tool for learning!

“The thoughtful use of technology by parents and early educators can engage children in key skills such as play, self-expression, and computational thinking which will support later success across all academic disciplines and help maintain young children’s natural curiosity."

From pre-school to university – they all get in touch with interactive classroom devices. But let’s start with the little ones amongst us.  In the upcoming series we’re going to focus on the four guiding principles for use of technology with early learners from the department of education.

Guiding Principle #1 - Technology—when used appropriately—can be a tool for learning

The Department of Education states that appropriate use of technology can help young children grown and learn, especially when families and early educators play an active role.

We understand that early educators want to get the best out of every early learner in their classrooms.  Our BalanceBox® and e·Box® height adjustable mounts in combination with interactive flat panels support them in the developmentally appropriate use of technology. We make it possible for early learners to work with a touchscreen on their own height by which they can actively engage in fun and challenging activities.  For example with our e·Box® Tilt & Table, more preschoolers can get around the panel and learn together.
